UPAY is a dedicated NGO for Rural Development that works tirelessly to uplift underprivileged communities across India. Through its popular Footpathshaala initiative, UPAY has transformed footpaths into classrooms for street children. With centres in Nagpur, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Gadarwara, this program has already benefitted over 2,000 children. It has led to a 50% rise in school enrolment, an 80% reduction in substance abuse, and the distribution of 13,500 after-class meals each month. This effort places UPAY among the most impactful Education NGOs in India.
UPAY is also a strong Women Empowerment NGO working to create opportunities for women in rural and slum areas. Through Samarth – Skill Development Centres, women, especially mothers and young girls, receive sewing and vocational training to achieve financial independence. With centres in Delhi-NCR, Nagpur, Gadarwara, and Bengaluru, UPAY supports Women Empowerment in Rural Areas by helping families break free from poverty and build a dignified life.
To support artisans and street vendors, UPAY launched sabkasaman.com, an online marketplace where women from villages and slums can sell their handmade products. This initiative not only provides income opportunities but also preserves traditional skills. It strengthens UPAY’s vision of being the Best NGO in Delhi and a leading NGO in Mumbai for Education and Empowerment.
UPAY has also established community libraries in villages and slums to help students pursue higher education. With proper study spaces, electricity, career counselling, and guest lectures, these libraries support more than 500 learners preparing for competitive exams and professional courses.
